The Maritime and Coastguard Agency is an executive Agency of the Department for Transport and is responsible for safety at sea and on the coast, as well as for any environmental impact on the sea from shipping.

The MCA iKyp was used to promote their 'Seaside Safety' campaign. The client required an effective way to spread essential seaside safety messages, while encouraging families to have fun and enjoy their time on the beach.

The iKyp was given out in Tourist Information Centres, by the Fire Service and through a network of volunteers who handed the iKyp to families on the beach. Following a trial on the south coast the iKyps were rolled out nationally.

This iKyp also included our first piece of technology - a ribbon to indicate wind direction!
