Healthcare giant chooses Kyp Systems for children’s diabetes campaign

Bayer Diabetes Care, one of the world’s leading medical companies, has chosen Kyp Systems for its latest communications campaign. Kyp Systems will produce customised iKyps for young people with diabetes.

The iKyps will be handed out to patients by Diabetes Specialist Nurses upon diagnosis, and contain information on diabetes, managing the condition and Bayer’s Around U support programme. Recipients are directed to Bayer’s online Around U support site where they can register their Bayer blood glucose meter to receive a free gift.

The iKyps also feature an area where patients can store information such as emergency contact details. The iKyps are available in three versions, tailored towards 3-9, 10-14 and 15+ year-olds.

Following a successful launch last month, the campaign has been extended with a reorder of the iKyps.

A spokesperson from Bayer Diabetes Care said: “A diabetes diagnosis can be a daunting experience for a child, so we wanted to create a tool which would help them understand and take control of their condition. The iKyp does a great job of making this information accessible to young patients and their friends, family and carers.”

Nicholas Miller, chief executive officer of Kyp Systems, said: “We’re proud to have been involved in the development of this invaluable resource and as with every repeat customer, we’re delighted Bayer Diabetes Care share our confidence that Kyp Systems offer the perfect solution for their communication needs.”
