The new iKyp mini launches in Asia with Café de Coral

Café de Coral, the world’s largest Chinese fast food restaurant group, has become the first client to benefit from the latest addition to the Kyp Systems product range. The iKyp mini is a credit card sized version of the iKyp (information to Keep in your pocket) and was used to promote Club 100, Café de Coral’s loyalty scheme.
The Club 100 iKyp mini was handed out to commuters at Hong Kong metro stations to provide an ideal holder for their Octopus Cards - electronic payment cards which are widely used on public transport and in retail outlets, and earn Club 100 points when used in Café de Coral restaurants. The wheels of the iKyp mini line up to reveal menu items eligible for Club 100 points while the fold out inserts communicate the benefits of the scheme, give sign up instructions and include discount vouchers for Café de Coral restaurants.  The iKyp generated an impressive 11% redemption rate within a period of 17 days which greatly exceeded the client’s expectations.

“We wanted to opt for something that the customers would find more useful and informative than traditional flyers and posters” said Sharon Koo, Associate Account Director at Café de Coral’s agency 141 Worldwide. “With the Café de Coral iKyp mini, Kyp Systems have created a communication device that the recipient will want to hold onto as a place to keep their Octopus Card, reminding them of Café de Coral brand every time they board a train or use their card to make a transaction.”

Nicholas Miller, CEO at Kyp Systems added “A marketing tool which public transport users can also use to store their Octopus Card provides an ideal medium for communicating the benefits that Café de Coral’s Club 100 offers to card holders.  This added value for the consumer helps ensure that the iKyp and the information within will be retained and referred to in future.”
