ZSL London Zoo commission second iKyp for Gorilla Kingdom Launch
Gorilla Kingdom is a multi-million pound exhibit which opens at ZSL London Zoo this Easter, allowing visitors to experience the amazing world of the gorillas in a natural setting with no bars. Following the success of the iKyp mini which was created for its ‘Fiendish Fun’ Halloween event, ZSL London Zoo have invited Kyp Systems to create a unique guide to accompany and enhance the visitors’ experience of this revolutionary exhibit.
The iKyp (information to Keep in your pocket) will be distributed to visitors as they enter Gorilla Kingdom. This memorable souvenir will provide an insight into gorilla life with facts about habitat, diet, behaviour and population threats to this endangered species. A foldout map will introduce some of the other African species sharing the exhibit with the gorillas, including Eastern Black and White Colobus monkeys and Ornate Monitor Lizards.
The iKyp will also be used to cross-promote other ZSL attractions including ZSL Whipsnade Zoo and Clore Rainforest Lookout which also opens at ZSL London Zoo this Easter.
James Bailey, Marketing Manager at ZSL commented: “The popularity of the Halloween iKyp with our young visitors proved that this product gets results, so we were keen to use it again to promote Gorilla Kingdom.
“It is the perfect medium for communicating with visitors of all ages thanks to its tactile, interactive features and its capacity for presenting a lot of information in an accessible way that invites intrigue and exploration.”
Nicholas Miller, CEO at Kyp Systems said: “The Gorilla Kingdom iKyp demonstrates that promotional material does not have to be intrusive or dull, but can be something the recipient will value and retain – fostering positive associations with the brand.”
